Here you find all information about the peo platform and its usage. If you do not find your questions answered here, just ask our service team by sending an e-mail to info@peo.de .
Register
Registration for peo is free. Just choose a user name, a password, and enter your e-mail address. You will promptly receive an e-mail with a link at the e-mail address given by you. Clicking the link activates your account. You may then publish documents, use your mail account, and contact other members.
Membership
As a registered user you automatically become a member. Your membership is free and terminable at all times – just send an e-mail with the reference "Termination" to info@peo.de. The membership allows you to publish and manage documents online, do Online Trade and use your own Mail Account to communicate with other members. Members can search for peo authors. The Personal Data necessary to do Online Trade are protected and at no times visible to others.
peo Theme Sites
Apart from peo.de you may access different theme sites with specialized content and use the familiar peo functions. If you are interested in a special topic, you may order it from peo. Just send an e-mail with the reference "Topic" to info@peo.de, and after a few days your requested site will be available. In addition, registered users may use theme sites editorially, select articles and determine content.
Downloads
Downloads are either free or chargeable. All users may download free documents. Chargeable documents are marked as such and only available to users who have registered for the.
Publishing
You may publish any document on peo for which you own the copyright, be it a text file or floor plan, graphics or novels. peo publishes everything online, unless it violates applicable law. All you need to do is register for peo. You may then publish your document online by using the Upload function.
Upload
Select the file you want to publish. In addition, you may select an image to adequately illustrate your document. Enter the title and choose a category. Keywords make it easier for users to access your document. All you have to do now is decide whether it should be available as a free or a chargeable document to other users. For the chargeable option please note the details for the Online Trade.
File Formats
We currently support the following file formats: pdf, txt, rtf, and doc. Image files can be uploaded in the following formats: jpg, gif, and png.
Images
Images should adequately illustrate your publication. The use of images is not obligatory - but eye-pleasing.
Online Trade
Online trade refers to the sale and purchase of chargeable documents. You may offer your documents for sale. Choose a Personal Data for your publication. The online trade requires some of your Sales Price in order for us to provide credit transfers and online safety.
Personal Data
The Online Trade requires some of your personal data such as address or bank account data. We respect and observe applicable law regarding privacy protection and use your personal data for credit transfers only.
My peo
Under the category "My peo" you have access to your Profile, your Personal Data, your Documents, your Mail Account, and your Bookmarks. There you may change, correct, or delete your entries at all times.
Profile
Your profile highlights yourself and your publications. It goes without saying that entries affecting your Personal Data are protected and not visible to others.
Documents
You may publish any document for which you own the copyright. We support the file formats pdf, txt, rtf, and doc. Documents may either be offered as free or chargeable downloads. You choose as you Upload your document.
Mail Account
As a member you have access to a personal mail account. Contact other members of the peo community or tell your friends and colleagues about peo content.
Bookmarks
Use bookmarks to highlight interesting documents. They give you direct access to the content you desire. Bookmarks are in no way binding, and they are deletable at all times. Just use the option "Delete" under the category Bookmarks.
RSS Subscriptions
peo offers you free RSS subscriptions. Subscribe to your favourite author - or a dozen of them. The subscription will be displayed in your browser and is terminable at all times. Just delete it in your browser.
Sale of Documents
You may sell any document for which you own the copyright. You only sell a usage right. The copyright stays with you. The Sales Price for a document is determined by you. If you wish to sell a document, we need some of your Personal Data.
Sales Price
You determine the sales price for a document. You receive 50 percent of the revenue from the sale of a document, the other 50 percent are given to peo.
Usage Right
Even after the sale of a document the copyright remains with you. You merely sell a usage right to your document. The purchase allows buyers to read, print, and copy your document.
Purchase of Documents
If you want to purchase a chargeable document, we need your Personal Data required for the Online Trade in order to provide credit transfers. You may then purchase the desired document.
Document View
In order to read a document, you need the recent version of Adobe Reader© (at least version 7.0). Users of Safari© browsers also need the recent version of Adobe Reader© and at least Safari© version 1.2.3. The internet page provides you with technical requirements and download options.
Publish Link
Publish a link to PDF documents on the internet. Access the desired document with your browser. Just copy the URL from the browser's address bar and insert it into the peo link upload field. In addition, you may give the link a title and description plus add keywords for better search results. Pick a category to classify the content. Just klick "Save Link" in order to publish your entry.
